Texts about oneself are always tricky. What to write? Not too much and not too less!

I'm born in the southern Austrian town of Graz, where I grew up and studied for some years. Then I moved to Vienna and later to France, Italy and Poland. Between those main destinations there were many more places and some of them are even a bit exotic.

Below there are some pictures of trips to Schlossberg in Graz, Côte d'Azur, the monument of Amir Timur in Tashkent and Urgench State University in Uzbekistan, the center point of Asia in Xinjiang, the Nurek Dam in Tajikistan, the Pamir Mountains for fieldwork, the city center of Dushanbe, the old port in Algiers, and the roof of CAIAG in Bishkek.

When I'm not traveling, which is unfortunately the case quite often, I try to do music and martial arts. I started playing violin when I was 10 and over time I came across many styles and projects. For some years I played in an orchestra in Austria, then in some smaller groups, and from time to time I get the chance to play also with musicians from different cultures. In 2016, I was surprised by an invitation to join a group at the closing ceremony after the Arabian Geosciences Union at the University of Technology in Algiers:

As for martial arts, I train mainly Taiji and some Wushu since I was 7. By that time I started my first basic course with Dr. Li in Graz. In 2006, I finished training for being a teacher myself, I passed the 3rd Dan exam in Beijing and one year later I started to give classes in Austria and abroad, mainly in France. Some medals also came along:

  • 3rd: 2006 European Opens (Taiji modern)
  • 2nd: 2006 China DYYSG Exhibition (group)
  • 2nd: 2007 Austrian Nationals (Taiji modern)
  • 1st: 2008 Austrian Nationals (Taiji modern)
